Newly opened in 2024, this semi-suite room offers panoramic views of the inner sea off the island. Themed around the island's "jinakachi" (local Oki word for ‘prosperous’ wind) sweeping through the highlands, this exclusive room features a semi-open-air bath and showcases ever-changing scenery from sunrise to sunset. Boasting a spacious, luxurious terrace, the semi-open-air bath features an open-air design where wind flows through when the windows are open. Spending time in this space designed by architect Taro Shimokawa allows you to contemplate the island's climate and history while letting your heart drift toward the beautiful sea and sky. Surrender to nature's rhythm and enjoy a peaceful stay.
*Please note there is no TV in the room.

THE place to stay in this incredible community. Love the location. Love the hospitality. Love the morning view of the bay (unsurpassed). Awesome place to do some writing, thinking, relaxing. This is my third stay at Kuniga-so. Unique by its own right. Highly recommended.

Stayed 2 nights with family at this ryokan. Excellent service. Breakfast & Kaiseki dinner included in price. Free parking for those with rental car. Near ferry terminal.

Kuniga-So is a fantastic hotel that brings your experience of Nishinoshima to a new level. I can highly recommend staying there. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic, the views are amazing and the staff was kind and eager to help whenever needed.

I visited the hotel solely to use the bath. For ¥500 per person, the hotel allows non-guests to enjoy the bath facilities. Situated on a hill, the hotel offers stunning views from both the entrance and the bathhouse. The bathhouse itself is rather small, accommodating only about five people at a time. Accessing the hotel on foot can be a bit tiring due to the uphill slope. While there are parking spaces available, they are somewhat limited, making it difficult to find a spot when it's busy.
